Foam Supplies, Inc. Expands to Meet Increased Demand
for ecomate® Non-HFC Foam Blowing Agent

Due to increased customer demand for ecomate® foam blowing agent, and in preparation for the U.S. EPA’s pending phase outs of HFC blowing agents, Foam Supplies is adding over 50,000 square feet of ecomate® production and warehousing capacity.

ST. LOUIS, MO, USA — Foam Supplies, Inc., a leading polyurethane foam systems supplier and producer of the patented ecomate® EPA SNAP approved foam blowing agent, recently announced plans to add more than 50,000 square feet of new production and warehousing space. The expansion is in response to the already increased demand for ecomate®, as well as the anticipated future demand from both new and existing customers.

“With the EPA set to announce phase outs of current HFC blowing agents, manufacturers in a range of industries are taking a proactive approach in replacing HFCs now”, says Todd Keske, COO at Foam Supplies. “As the only EPA SNAP approved non-HFC blowing agent with a proven track record spanning well over 10 years, ecomate® is the easy choice for anyone looking for an effective and environmentally friendly replacement.”

Foam Supplies recently broke ground on a new ecomate® production facility adjacent to its current plant at the company headquarters in Earth City, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis.
The new building is expected to be fully operational by August of this year. Additional warehousing and distribution space has also been secured less than a half-mile away. In total, the expansion adds more than 50,000 square feet of capacity to the company’s U.S. operations in Missouri and Texas.

Introduced in 2002 and first approved by the EPA in 2003, ecomate® has no global warming potential (GWP), no ozone depletion potential (ODP) and no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), so it does not produce smog. It is currently used in Foam Supplies’ ecofoam™ rigid polyurethane foam systems, ecoflex™ flexible and integral skin foam systems, ecospray™ spray foam insulation and more. It is also supplied to other foam systems providers around the world for use in refrigeration equipment, construction panels, appliances, doors, HVAC equipment, boats and many other types of products.
